I’ll also go over a couple upcoming VGUs, as well as a new project we’re trying out called a Comprehensive Gameplay Update (CGU)-I know, another acronym, but I promise we’re not adding more just to see how many you can keep track of-but more on that below. That being said, we think the champions currently in development are pretty exciting, and that’s exactly what we’re here to talk about. While we don’t know exactly how many champions we’ll release this year, it should be pretty similar to last year. We want to make sure every champion gets the time and attention they need before they’re shipped, even if that means we don't hit every position in a year. In our last Roadmap I mentioned we were going to slow down new champion production a bit. It’s been a little while since Renata Glasc took to the Rift in all her power-suited glory. But enough about me, let’s talk about what you all came here for: champions! But yes! It is time for another exciting edition of the League of Legends Champion Roadmap! In written form this time because as much as I love talking, it’s way easier to hide subtle teases in text, which makes these fun to write.

If you guessed “time for another Champion Roadmap” then pat yourself on the back (unless you read the title already like most people, then I’m not nearly as impressed). Nilah doesn’t yet have a release date but we can expect to learn more about this intriguing new champion in the coming days and weeks ahead.Guess what time it is. It does damage to all the nearby enemies. In one final moment, we see Nilah jump into the middle of three enemies and swing her whip wildly, forming a vortex of sorts. The bubble also looks like it can be cast on nearby allies, protecting them as well. It seems that she’s able to completely ignore the card’s stun effect. In another sequence, we see a Nilah cast a bubble-like shield that protects her from Twisted Fate’s Gold Card. This is quite useful as bot lane champions are normally ranged. It looks like Nilah’s whip is able to target a nearby enemy and pull her towards them, allowing her to close the gap quickly. She wields a colorful neon whip that flows like splashing water. Nilah is also aided by a demon she calls “Lord of the Waters.” Nilah: The Brand New ChampionĪs Nilah is a melee bot lane champion, she needs to get closer to the target in order to deal the damage. Although the water-based abilities were already known to players (due to leaks), the official announcements are still very exciting. The cinematic trailer does feature some gameplay of Nilah, showing off some of her moves and water-based abilities, but we don’t have official kit details yet. League of Legends developers have officially released the first teaser for the new Champion, Nilah, who looks quite versatile.
